"I married my Edna Mae in ought-three and I was with her right up to the
end. Not a pretty picture. Wrinkled and senile and cursing me for my youth.
Wasn't our happiest time." -- The Mayor, "Choices", Buffy the Vampire
Slayer.
Siobhan Fahey -- my model for Edna in my writings (please visit my Sister site)
Alice Krige in "Ghost Story" ...well... Alice Krige in anything, really.
Melissa or Lucinda from "The Touch of Satan"-- If the Mayor went Mormon. Come complete with built-in contract with Stan!
Martha Stewart-- Evil. It's a good thing.
The Loch Ness Monster-- Oh, like you weren't thinking it.
Ellen Rimbauer in "Rose Red"
Isabella Rossellini in "Death Becomes Her"-- Darling, you're 71 years young.
Geena Davis in "Beetlejuice"
Parasite Eve-- Ascension, transformation-- what's good for the goose....
Edna May Oliver-- In Touched, the Mayor reminds Faith that his favorite book is Little Women. In 1933 the novel was adapted into film with character actress Edna May Oliver playing Aunt March. It's possible that this film inspired Whedon to give the Mayor's wife her name.
